So who the heck is this Gary Ruplinger guy?

Good question. 

The easiest way for me to sum it all up for you is to say that I’m a 26 year old Internet Marketer. 

I own several websites as well as build websites for clients.  However, my real area of expertise, and the area that has made me successful is my search engine optimization skills.  Basically, I know how to get to rank well in search engines like Google.

But I’m not a one trick pony (I get bored too easily.)  I work hard on being a well rounded marketer, and have learned how to write copy, love web 2.0 stuff, and am an expert at making money with Adsense.

I got my start with my own online business way back in 2000 when I tried to sell collectible coins on eBay.  I failed miserably at it, but was hooked at this whole idea of trying to make money online nonetheless.  By 2001 I’d figured the eBay thing out and did that and went to college full time.  While eBay is not a main source of revenue for me these days, it’s still fun to sell an item once in a while.  These days, however, I like to focus on my little network of content websites whose topics are as varied as my ecletic collection of interests - everything from camping to pet snakes to American Idol.

The non business side of Gary

While I do love what I do, and have been accused of being a workaholic from time to time, I do have other interests besides sitting in front of a computer screen all day. 

I love sports - volleyball, flag football, floor hockey, snowboarding.  If I’m not working, I’m usually out doing… well… something.  I have a hard time sitting still.

I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, but grew up in a small town in Wisconsin - neither of which are close to mountains or oceans (I’m a big fan of both), but I have to say that living in Lincoln is surpringly pleasant. 

And that’s really about all I have to say at the moment.  Maybe I’ll come back and add some more “stuff” later if I decide I need to ramble on and one about myself.
